Abdominal Etching

This is a surgery most often desired by men who want more definition to the abdominal area.

It is a perfectly reasonable request. I often hear, “No matter how much I work out, I still don’t see enough definition.” I understand this complaint and can help you achieve what you want.

The features I commonly see in this case consist of excess fat in the abdomen and often in the hips, especially on the sides and even in the back adjacent to the spine. The treatment areas may involve only the central abdomen but may include the entire abdomen, even up to the chest area. I will coordinate the features of your anatomy with your expectations, formulate a plan with you, and guide you through this process. Abdominal definition is created by careful liposuction of the abdomen, and there are a number of different techniques and devices that I must apply exactly to your precise anatomic features in order for us to achieve your best possible result in creating definition. Surgery involves a light general anesthetic and is performed where I do surgery, which is in a hospital setting. The surgery is safe and predictable. There is some very mild swelling after surgery. There are a few tiny stitches, and you can return to work as soon as the next day and to some physical exercise in the first week. The surgical result obtained in abdominal etching relies on the fact that your fat layer, which forms the foundation for your skin, can be comfortably and artistically removed, and then your skin shrinks and molds down around your reduced fatty framework. Definition occurs as you exercise, and now the reduced fatty layer allows the muscle definition to show through.
